Education Odyssey
Odyssey is one of the most famous Greek epic poems by Homer of all times. The poem, is a sequel to Homer's Iliad (Remember Achilles, the great Myrmidons, who was, infact still is very famous for his wrath and bravery all over the world). The poem was probably written in the 8th century BC. And is believed that it was written along the Greek-controlled Turkey seaside, Ionia. The poem starts after the end of Trojan war as Telemachus, twenty, Odysseeus' son is shown sharing his missing father’s house on the island of Ithaca with his mother Penelope and a crowd of 108 boisterous young men, "the Suitors." All these suitors are trying to convince Penelope that her husband is dead and she should get married for the second time, since most have assumed that Odysseus has died.
As far as the main sequences of the poem are concerned, (here we are not talking about the narrative of Odysseus) all of them happened in the Peloponnese and in what are now called the Ionian Islands
The poem mainly focuses on the Greek hero Odysseus and his long journey home to Ithaca after the dreadful fall of Troy and Achilles.
